Carly Kuhn: Character Study
It all begins with an idea.
An avid people-watcher and a prolific sketcher, Carly Kuhn generously shares the images and ideas that fill her notebooks through her social media platforms. Now you can take a bit of Carly’s work home via her new book, Character Study: Observations from a very Curious Artist. Thumbing through the pages feels like Carly’s taken you along for the ride as she finds and captures everyday characters in their natural habitats – from the local market, to the dog park, to a sidewalk cafe, to behind the scenes at fashion week. Adding clever handwritten annotations alongside the characters, she shares not only her unique eye but also her wry sense of humor and humanity.
